
CM Yogi launches development works in Mau, targets SP over mafia links
Mau, May 29: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday launched a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party from Gandhi Maidan in Madhuban, Mau district, saying that during the Mau riots in 2005, the then government had surrendered before the mafia. He said that even religious events like Ramlila were obstructed at that time, and the general public was forced to live in an atmosphere of fear.
Referring to the law and order situation under the SP government, the Chief Minister said that earlier, sisters, daughters and businessmen were forced to return home before dusk. If there was any delay, families would be filled with worry. There used to be the terror of hooligans on the streets, but today the rule of law has been established in the state, and strict action is being taken against criminals.
Chief Minister Yogi said that his government has taught a lesson to those who disrupt religious events. He claimed that today no one can compromise the safety of daughters and businessmen in the state. He said that the state government is continuously moving forward on the policy of development, trust, and good governance.
During this ceremony, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 124 development projects worth more than ₹392 crore at Maa Sheetla Devi Dham, Mau. Energy Minister A.K. Sharma, Prison Minister Dara Singh Chauhan, Panchayati Raj Minister, Subhaspa chief Om Prakash Rajbhar, MLA Ram Vilas Chauhan, MLC Vijay Lal Rajbhar, and many other senior leaders were present at the event.
