CM Yogi pushes for speed and accountability in Vindhya region

Mirzapur, July 8: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while reviewing development projects with public representatives and officials of the Vindhya region at the Public Works Department’s Dak Bungalow in Ashtabhuja, Mirzapur, on Wednesday, directed them to expedite the projects.

He clearly stated that no laxity will be tolerated in development projects and that all proposals must be submitted to the government within the stipulated timeframe.

The meeting discussed in detail village roads, major district roads, bridge construction, bypasses, religious tourism, and other development projects involving Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, and Bhadohi districts. The Chief Minister directed that all proposals be submitted to the government by July 15th, and that the process of providing funds for approved projects be completed by August 15th.

The Chief Minister asked public representatives to provide proposals tailored to local needs and directed the District Magistrates to ensure prompt action on them. He emphasized that the benefits of development projects should reach the public in a timely manner.

During the review, instructions were given to reconstruct the dilapidated roads in Mirzapur, repair the Matwar road, and install interlocking at necessary locations. He also urged the authorities to expedite work by quickly issuing No Objection Certificates (NOCs) in forest land-related matters. Prioritizing the convenience of pilgrims at Vindhyachal Dham, the Chief Minister directed the roads connecting the Vindhyavasini, Ashtabhuja, and Kali Khoh temples to be cleaned, beautified, removed from encroachments, and ensure better traffic management. He stated that providing better facilities to pilgrims visiting Vindhyachal is a priority for the government.

The issue of waterlogging at the Natwan railway underpass during the rainy season also came up during the meeting. The Chief Minister directed officials to coordinate with the Railways and develop an immediate action plan to resolve this problem permanently.
