CM Yogi unveils 374 projects in Jalaun, signals development push before UP 2027 polls

Orai, July 25: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Jalaun on Saturday, where he gifted 374 development projects worth Rs 1275 crore to the district in a grand program organized at the District Sports Ground.

Chief Minister laid the foundation stone and inaugurated these projects. Along with this, while distributing assistance to the beneficiaries of various public welfare schemes, he transferred an amount of Rs 13 crore 14 lakh 30 thousand to the accounts of the beneficiaries under the Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission. The keys of the houses were handed over to the eligible beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, while certificates were also given to the beneficiaries of the Chief Minister Sukanya Yojana.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath began his address by paying homage to Jalaun’s presiding deity, Jalaun Wali Mata, At Bairagarh’s Sharda Mata, Maharishi Ved Vyas, and Jalwan Rishi. He stated that Jalaun and Kalpi are renowned nationwide for their glorious history, valor, and cultural heritage. He added that Kalpi’s paper and peas are the district’s unique identity, and the confluence of the Panchnada River is the region’s natural heritage.

Chief Minister said that through the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme, Kalpi’s paper industry has gained a new identity and is now making its mark globally.

Chief Minister said that there was a time when Bundelkhand was known as a bandit-infested region, forcing people to migrate. Targeting the opposition, he said that the people whose policies led to Bundelkhand’s backwardness are now shedding crocodile tears.

He said that today the Bundelkhand Expressway has become the region’s new identity, and industrial development is gaining momentum in Jhansi district through BIDA (Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority), which will also benefit Jalaun. Bundelkhand once suffered from drought and darkness, and the terror of dacoits began to spread. But today, through solar energy projects, the entire region is moving towards illumination.

He added that work is progressing rapidly under the Jal Jeevan Mission to provide drinking water to every household. The Uttar Pradesh government has also undertaken significant work in the field of cow protection.

Referring to Jalaun’s Rangoli Gram Panchayat, he said it has become the first Gram Panchayat in the district to rise above the poverty line. He also said that the mafia has been crushed.

Speaking on law and order, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said his government has worked to end mafia rule in the state. He said that strict action has been taken against the land mafia, sand mafia, kettle mafia, and other criminals. He reiterated that strict action will be taken against anyone who tampers with the future of the youth. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a clear message that those who tamper with the future of the youth will be punished with up to life imprisonment.

Chief Minister stated that the government will not spare any culprits in cases of exam irregularities and paper leaks. He stated that 47 officials have been dismissed simultaneously in the last 24 hours for being involved in the NEET exam leak case, and strict action has been taken by confiscating their properties. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself cares about the youth and is committed to securing their future by communicating with them late into the night.

During his address, the Chief Minister also launched a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party and Congress. He said that the Samajwadi Party and Congress only shed crocodile tears, while during their rule, funds meant for Bundelkhand’s development were looted. He alleged that robberies were carried out in the name of development, and corruption and extortion were rampant in government jobs. He said that earlier, development funds were spent on film events in Saifai, whereas today the same money is being used for public development and welfare.

Yogi said that previously, the law and order situation in the state was very poor, and daughters felt insecure. Today, women are safe in Uttar Pradesh. He said that now no gangster or mafia dares to look at women and daughters with an evil eye, as they face imprisonment or severe punishment.

He said that previously, money sent from the central government used to be lost to corruption, but today, under the double-engine government, benefits from all government schemes, including pensions, are reaching beneficiaries’ bank accounts with a single click. Traders are now operating their businesses without any fear and returning home safely.

Yogi Adityanath said that irrigation and water projects are being implemented rapidly in the state, which will increase farmers’ income. Furthermore, the development of data centers and new technologies will create new employment opportunities for the state’s youth. He said that the government is continuously working towards making Uttar Pradesh the country’s largest economy and Bundelkhand will become an important center of this development journey.
