Women of UP driving rural economy, shaping destiny of new India: Yogi
Lucknow, October 14: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered his respects at the feet of Maa Kushmanda on the Chaturthi of Shardiya Navratri. He also conveyed the message of worshipping Maa Kushmanda, the eternal symbol of creation, energy and prosperity, to the people of the state.
He said on Wednesday that where women get power and opportunity, poverty turns into hard work, hard work turns into self-reliance and self-reliance turns into prosperity.

Chief Minister Yogi posted on ‘X’ and wrote that the women of Uttar Pradesh are no longer just beneficiaries of development, but are becoming creators of the village economy and makers of destiny of new India. Before 2017, women had neither opportunities nor resources, nor did the government have the policy and intention.
Yogi said that today, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state’s double-engine government is connecting village women to a new path of self-reliance. BC Sakhis are a powerful link to banking services in villages. Lakhpati Didi has become a new symbol of economic independence. Drone Didi is pioneering modern technology in farming. Self-help groups and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) are expanding livelihood, entrepreneurship, and agriculture-based employment opportunities for rural women.
Chief Minister wrote that women are now not only the foundation of family prosperity, but are also becoming the drivers of the village economy and leaders of the development journey of the new Uttar Pradesh. Only when village women prosper will Uttar Pradesh truly become prosperous and empowered.
