
‘Cocktail 2’ blends entertainment and earnings in winning formula
The romantic drama film ‘Cocktail 2’, starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna, is performing exceptionally well at the box office. Within its first weekend of release, the film has garnered immense love from audiences, registering strong earnings in both the domestic and global markets. Based on a love triangle, the film is receiving a positive response among young audiences, a result of which is clearly visible in its box office figures.
According to trade reports, the film grossed ₹17.75 crore on Sunday, its third day of release. It had previously earned ₹16.25 crore on the second day and ₹13.50 crore on the first day. With this, the film’s total domestic collection has reached ₹47.50 crore. The film has grossed ₹76.25 crore worldwide. With this impressive performance, “Cocktail 2” has surpassed the record held by Shahid Kapoor’s previous film, “O Romeo,” which grossed ₹30.15 crore (US$2.2 million) in its first three days.
Meanwhile, Diljit Dosanjh’s “Main Wapas Aaunga” is also holding strong in its second week. The film earned ₹5.75 crore (US$2.7 million) on the 10th day, bringing its total collection to ₹24.25 crore (US$2.4 million). Meanwhile, Ram Charan-starrer “Peddi” appears to be slowing down. The film earned ₹2.82 crore (US$2.82 million) on the 18th day, bringing its domestic collection to ₹234.27 crore (US$2.34 million) and global collection to ₹330.11 crore (US$3.30 million). Despite this, “Peddi” remains one of the year’s most successful films.
