ACS Tourism reviews ‘Deepotsav’ preparations in Ayodhya

Ayodhya, 18 September: In connection with the preparations for ‘Deepotsav’,  the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS)  Tourism, Culture and Charitable Works Department, Amrit Abhijat conducted on-site inspection of various event venues in Ayodhya on Friday and took stock of the arrangements. He inspected various sites including Saryu Guest House, Helipad, Ram Katha Park, Parking Area, Tulsi Garden, Ram Ki Paidi.

ACS directed the Urban Development Department to complete the ongoing Deepotsav works within the stipulated timeframe. He asked to pay special attention to the quality of the works. He directed to further expedite the work being carried out by UPPCL at Ram Ki Paadi.

He directed that all necessary arrangements, including drinking water, cleanliness of the ghats, security, lighting, toilets, barricading, and movement of devotees, be made timely at the event venues, so that devotees and visitors do not face any inconvenience during the festival. Following the on-site inspection, the Additional Chief Secretary conducted a thorough review of the preparations for the festival with divisional and district-level officials in the Commissioner’s auditorium.

He directed that this year’s festival of lights be organized in a more grand and attractive manner than last year, and that all necessary preparations be completed within the stipulated time.

He directed that the quality and presentation of the tableaux be further improved, the arrangements for the Shri Ramleela and Bharat Milap stages be streamlined, and an adequate number of volunteers be arranged for the festival. He also directed that adequate availability of lamps, necessary facilities for visitors from within the country and abroad, and effective parking and traffic management be ensured.

The Additional Chief Secretary directed to complete the preparations for organizing Ramlilas of different states of the country, lighting of lamps in monasteries and temples, necessary arrangements through Tirtha Vikas Parishad, attractive lighting on highways and main roads, pass system, drone lights and fireworks etc. on time. He also directed to include South Indian Ramlila in the main program of Deepotsav and to include other attractive cultural programs in the outline of the event.

He directed the concerned officers to complete all the preparations in a timely and quality manner with mutual coordination, so that Deepotsav can be given a well-organized and grand look.

Commissioner ( Ayodhya Division) Rajesh Kumar, DIG Somen Burma, District Magistrate Shashank Tripathi, Senior Superintendent of Police Dr Gaurav Grover, Vice Chairman Ayodhya Development Authority Anuraj Jain, Municipal Commissioner Jainendra Kumar, Chief Development Officer Krishna Kumar Singh, Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department Director Mridul Chaudhary, Deputy Director Kirti, District Tourism Officer Parijat Pandey, and officials from related departments were present at the meeting.
