Lucknow: UP STF arrests ₹1 lakh reward criminal in property dealer murder case

Lucknow, June 15: The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) team on Monday arrested a criminal carrying a reward of ₹ 1 lakh, who was absconding in the murder case of a property dealer that took place on May 27 in the PGI police station area of ​​Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow.

STF’s Additional Superintendent of Police Deepak Kumar Singh said that property dealer Sandeep Singh was shot dead on May 27 in the PGI police station area. In this regard, the police had registered a case in the concerned police station and was searching for the accused. Ganga Ram Yadav, a resident of Ambedkar Nagar, was wanted in this case. A reward of Rs 1 lakh was placed on him. The police sought help from the STF in his search. The STF team started searching for him.

ASP STF said that late last Sunday night, the STF team received information that Ganga Ram, a criminal with a reward of Rs 1 lakh, was present near Lucknow’s Alambagh bus station and was trying to escape. Without delay, the team laid a trap and arrested the wanted criminal.

The ASP said that the accused, Ganga Ram Yadav, admitted that he had arranged for the shooters at the behest of Dinesh Kumar Yadav and his driver, Muqarrabin alias Mubin. In this case, two accused, including the main conspirator, had been arrested and sent to jail. The PGI police station is taking further action after arresting the third wanted accused, Ganga Ram.
