Mahoba headmaster under probe after viral clip shows misuse of teaching tool
A video of the primary school of Tikri village of Charkhari development block of the district is going viral on the internet. In the viral video, an obscene Bhojpuri song is playing on the LED installed in the smart classroom of the school, while the drunk headmaster is lying on the bench and enjoying the obscene song.
It is reported that two days ago, villagers, fed up with the teacher’s behavior, submitted a complaint to BSA Rahul Mishra, stating that Ramesh Chandra, a resident of Kali Pahari village in the district, is posted as the headmaster of the village primary school. He resides in the school office and is often intoxicated and uses abusive language towards children and parents. He also frequently demands money from other teachers and villagers, tarnishing the school’s reputation.
Furthermore, villagers allege that he holds alcohol parties with village troublemakers on the school premises at night, while the headmaster remains in only underwear and a towel during school hours. When anyone in the village speaks out, he threatens to file a case against them under the SC/ST Act.
BSA Rahul Mishra stated on Friday that an investigation is underway and that strict departmental action will be taken against the teacher as soon as the investigation report is received.
