
No seat, false threat—Rapti Sagar passenger arrested for bomb hoax in Lucknow
Lucknow, June 16: The Rapti Sagar train was halted at Aishbagh station after a bomb threat triggered panic, prompting GRP, RPF, and local police to rush in and conduct a thorough search, during which the passenger responsible for spreading the false alarm was held.
The Bazarkhaala police station in-charge Santosh Kumar Arya stated that information about a bomb on the Rapti Sagar train was received on Tuesday. Acting on this information, the local police, GRP, and related security agencies immediately arrived at the scene and conducted a thorough check of the train. During the investigation, all coaches of the train were thoroughly searched, and no suspicious object or explosive material was found, and the bomb threat was found to be completely false. During this, the passenger who gave information about the bomb, Saini Jackie, a resident of Vimalwada in Telangana state, was taken into custody.
During interrogation, passenger Saini told that during the journey he was not getting a place to sit in the train, due to which he spread the false information about the presence of a bomb in the train, which created panic among the passengers. Currently, GRP police is taking legal action against the passenger. After investigation, when the train was found to be safe, he was sent safely to his next destination.
