
President Murmu departs for Kalaikunda Airport in West Bengal
Bhopal, June 19: President Droupadi Murmu, who was on a visit to Madhya Pradesh, departed for Kalaikunda Airport in West Bengal on Friday. Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav, along with public representatives, military officers, and senior administrative officials, gave her a warm farewell at Indore’s Devi Ahilyabai Holkar International Airport this afternoon.
After participating in a program organized to mark World Sickle Cell Day in Omkareshwar, Khandwa district, President Murmu arrived at Indore Airport in the afternoon. After completing the first leg of her visit, President Murmu departed from Indore for Kalaikunda Airport in West Bengal. The President will arrive at Jabalpur Airport by air at 6:10 pm on Saturday, June 20, for the second leg of her five-day visit to Madhya Pradesh. From here, she will proceed to the Circuit House. She will spend the night at the Circuit House in Jabalpur. The next day, June 21st, the President will attend the International Yoga Day program in Jabalpur at 7:20 am. Following this program, the President will attend the 36th Conclave of Rani Durgavati University, Jabalpur, as the chief guest at 11:40 am.
She will then depart for Gwalior from Jabalpur Airport at 1:20 pm. She will arrive in Gwalior at 2:20 pm. From there, she will depart by helicopter for Kuno National Park. She will arrive at the Kuno Guest House at 3:35 pm. The President will spend the night at the Kuno Guest House. The next day, June 22, she will visit Kuno National Park at 6:30 am.
The President will depart from the Kuno National Park helipad at 10:20 am, reach Gwalior Airport at 11:05 am, and from Gwalior Airport, she will depart for Delhi at 11:15 am. The administration is on high alert for the President’s five-day visit, and elaborate security arrangements have been made. High security and no-flying zones have been declared at all event venues.
Governor Patel and Chief Minister Dr Yadav were accompanied at Indore Airport by Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat, MP Shankar Lalwani, MLAs Mahendra Hardia, Ramesh Mendola, and Malini Gaur, and Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava.
Present on the occasion were Commandant Lieutenant General Vijay B. Nair, Divisional Commissioner Dr Sudam Khade, Police Commissioner Santosh Singh, public representatives, and senior officials.
