UP transfers 15 IPS officers; Lucknow, Prayagraj police chiefs among key moves
Lucknow, July 28: The Uttar Pradesh government transferred 15 IPS officers on Tuesday. These include the police commissioners of Lucknow and Prayagraj districts. Earlier, 41 PCS officers were transferred late on Monday night.
Mutha Ashok Jain has been given the new charge of Director General of Police, Fire and Emergency Services. Previously, he was in charge of the Gorakhpur Zone. Lucknow Police Commissioner Amarendra K. Sengar has been given the additional charge of Director General of Police, Intelligence, as well as Director General of Police, Security. Ram Kumar has been appointed Additional Director General of Police, Logistics, to the post of Additional Director General of Police, Gorakhpur Zone. Naveen Arora has been relieved from the post of Additional Director General of Police, Technical Services, and appointed Additional Director General of Police, Varanasi Zone.
Similarly, Piyush Mordia has been made Police Commissioner of Prayagraj from Additional Director General of Police Varanasi Zone, Bhagwan S Srivastava has been made Additional Director General of Police Technical Services from Additional Director General of Police Intelligence, Dr Sanjeev Gupta has been given the additional charge of Director General of Police Headquarters as well as Additional Director General of Police Logistics.
Tarun Gauba, Additional Director General of Police Security has been made the new Police Commissioner of Lucknow. Apart from these, Dharamveer has been made Inspector General of Police, PAC Eastern Zone Prayagraj from Inspector General of Police Home Guards, Mohit Gupta has been made Inspector General of Police, Anti-Corruption Organization Lucknow from Secretary (Home) UP Government, Vinod Kumar Singh has been given the charge of Inspector General of Police, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Police Academy Moradabad to Inspector General of Police Special Investigation.
Jogendra Kumar has been relieved from the post of Police Commissioner Prayagraj Police Commissionerate and has been given the responsibility of Inspector General of Police PTS Moradabad, Anand Suresh Rao Kulkarni has been given the responsibility of Secretary (Home) Lucknow from Inspector General of Police Anti-Corruption Organization, Anoop Kumar Singh has been given the responsibility of Superintendent of Police, EOW from Superintendent of Police, Police Headquarters and Anand Kumar has been given the responsibility of Superintendent of Police, Public Grievance Headquarters from Police Headquarters.
