Yogi Adityanath launches Seva Sankalp drive, calls for collective commitment to developed India
Lucknow, 10 September: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the preparations for the “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan” on Thursday in the presence of BJP State President and Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary and State General Secretary (Organization) Dharampal.
He stated that the campaign should involve widespread public participation, highlighting the achievements of service, good governance, poor welfare, and development through the stories of actual beneficiaries. Every section of society, including youth, women, farmers, and the underprivileged, should be made participants in the pledge for a developed India.
Chief Minister directed all ministers in charge to visit the districts and their respective constituencies to review the preparations.
The state government and state organizations will jointly celebrate the completion of 25 years of continuous service of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ will run from September 17 to October 17 across Uttar Pradesh. Through the campaign, along with taking the public welfare achievements, policy reforms and changes in the country and state during Prime Minister Modi’s 25 years of service to every citizen, every citizen will be connected with the national resolve of ‘Developed India 2047’.
It was informed at the meeting that a three-tier coordination system has been established at the government, the Chief Minister’s Office, and the district level. A data bank of development work undertaken during the last 12 years of the central government and the last 10 years of the state government has been created. The campaign will connect 4.19 crore families and 15.74 crore beneficiaries, including 3.51 crore rural and 0.68 crore urban families.
Beginning with Seva Diwas: On September 17, “Seva Diwas
Aashirwad Ka Diya” will commence with service activities and the lighting of lamps at 7 p.m. Lamps will also be lit at beneficiary families and sites of major development projects. Minister in charge will be Dharmveer Prajapati. On the same day, Vishwakarma Jayanti, Vishwakarma puja will be held in all assembly constituencies and toolkits will be distributed to artisans.
India of My Dreams: Chitra Seva: From September 17th to October 7th, painting and speech competitions will be held in schools, and speech and debate competitions will be held in higher educational institutions. Certificates and prizes will be awarded to outstanding talents. Minister in charge Sandeep Singh was instructed to ensure maximum participation.
Namo Seva: Untold Stories: The story of 25 years of service, public welfare schemes, and development will be spread to villages and cities through cultural street plays. The Culture Department will form troupes of artists in each district. Minister in charge Jaiveer Singh was instructed to ensure the quality of performances and the recognition of local talent.
Angan Milan Seva: A three-day program will be held at Anganwadi centers from September 25th to October 7th. Felicitation of workers, helpers, ASHAs, and outstanding beneficiary mothers will be held, along with a Healthy Baby Competition and nutrition and health-related activities. Minister-in-Charge Baby Rani Maurya was directed to ensure active participation of mothers.
Seva Ki Kahani: The digital and reel campaign will showcase 60-second real-life stories of transformation in the lives of 2.5 million beneficiaries. Success stories of beneficiaries of the Chief Minister’s Discretionary Fund and Ayushman Bharat will be included, along with projects such as housing, schools, expressways, airports, metros, and universities. Minister-in-Charge Girishchand Yadav was directed to select authentic and impactful stories.
Influencers Connect: 150 digital influencers, podcasters, and vloggers will be taken on a tour of transformative projects across the state. A “before-and-after” visualization of development will be presented through key landmarks, including Prerna Sthal, expressways, airports, BIDA Jhansi, Ram Mandir, Kashi Corridor, and Defense Corridor. Minister-in-Charge Brijesh Singh was instructed to select suitable locations.
Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra: Pledge for a Developed India: On October 7th, Seva Jyoti, pedestrian, bicycle, and bike rallies, and a collective pledge for “Developed India 2047” will be held in the districts. The Prime Minister’s address will also be livestreamed. Minister-in-Charge Jaswant Singh Saini was instructed to ensure adequate arrangements for cleanliness and crowd management.
Vadnagar to Varanasi Yatra: Water, People, and Service Pledge: 250 bikes and 500 pilgrims will travel from Varanasi to Vadnagar carrying Ganga water. Twenty groups will travel via different routes, and the holy water from both locations will be used to anoint Kashi Vishwanath and Hatkeshwar Mahadev in Vadnagar. There will be public interaction and promotion of schemes during the Yatra. Minister-in-Charge JPS Rathore was instructed to ensure timely completion of all arrangements.
“Seva Mera Yogdan”: Citizens will be engaged in 25 service activities, including blood donation, tree planting, sanitation, health checkups, education support, water conservation, drug de-addiction, nutrition, cybersecurity, disabled support, and awareness about government schemes. A digital certificate will be awarded for donating at least 25 minutes of labor and uploading a photo or video on the “My Bharat Portal.” “
Seva Setu Abhiyan”: Seven-day multipurpose service camps will be held in each development block. Information, application, eligibility verification, and approval processes for central and state schemes, along with health services, will be provided in one place. “
Colors of Service, With the Nation”: Public welfare schemes, national symbols, and “Developed India 2047” will be displayed through human group rangolis at prominent public places. A 108-meter diameter “Bharat Mandal” and a grand human rangoli will be created.
Seva First Innovation Challenge: Youth, students, startups, professionals, and innovators will present new solutions. Universities, engineering colleges, ITIs, and polytechnics will host orientation programs, exhibitions, live demos, youth dialogues, and awards programs. Minister-in-Charge Kapil Dev Agarwal has been instructed to ensure maximum participation of talented youth.
Good Governance Seva Samvad: The campaign will conclude on October 17th. Public representatives, from village heads to Members of Parliament, will gather to honor the Prime Minister’s 25 years of service and pledge for a “Developed India 2047.” Participation will be from all sections, including women and youth.
In addition, laser shows themed “Namo Seva” will be held at major monuments and tourist destinations, a grand yagya (spiritual sacrifice) for national welfare and a developed India at pilgrimage sites and Shakti Peethas, and library inaugurations on September 25th. Village Chaupals will be organized in rural areas.
Chief Minister stated that the “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan” is an opportunity to disseminate the achievements of the Prime Minister’s 25 years of service to the public and to transform the pledge for a “Developed India 2047” into a public pledge. The campaign should be effectively carried forward as a comprehensive journey of ‘service to resolution’ by combining service activities, development works, real stories of beneficiaries, youth talent, cultural programs and participation of public representatives.
