
Yogi orders rescue, relief amid relentless rains in Lucknow and beyond
Lucknow, September 11: In view of the heavy downpour, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to carry out rescue and relief operations as rain has been lashing several districts of the state, including Lucknow, capital of Uttar Pradesh, since Friday morning.
Chief Minister Yogi has also taken cognizance of the loss of life, livestock, and economic losses caused by the heavy rains. He has directed all senior officials to go to the field. The Chief Minister said that all possible assistance should be provided to all affected families. Officials should communicate with the affected families and provide all possible assistance. Assessing the loss of life, livestock, and economic losses caused by heavy rains and lightning should ensure compensation within 24 hours. Ensure that waterlogging does not cause problems for the public. There should be no negligence on any level.
CM Yogi also appealed to the people of the state, noting that lightning strikes are a possibility during inclement weather. Therefore, avoid leaving your home unnecessarily during this time. Take special precautions when bathing in rivers and reservoirs during heavy rainfall.
