
Yogi’s Rakshabandhan Gift: Women passengers to enjoy free travel in UPSRTC buses for 3 days
Lucknow, 26th August: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave a special gift to the mothers, daughters and sisters of the state on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. He said that free travel will be available in Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) and city buses from 6 am on August 27 to midnight of August 29. Women passengers will be able to travel free of cost in the corporation’s buses with an attendant. On this occasion, the CM inaugurated the ‘Lokmata Ahilyabai Matri Shakti Yatra’ and flagged off special buses. Women above 60 years of age travelled free of cost in these buses.
Flagged off special buses, took selfies with women
In a program organized at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan on Wednesday, the Chief Minister flagged off the special buses amidst rain. Women on the buses greeted the Chief Minister with folded hands for the gift, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath waved his hand to express his gratitude. The Chief Minister also took selfies with the women traveling on the bus.
The Chief Minister presented smart cards, bags, saris, and sweets to the women
The Chief Minister presented smart cards to women aged 60 and above under the “Lokmata Ahilyabai Matri Shakti Yatra” scheme on stage during an event held before Rakshabandhan. The Chief Minister also gifted these women bags, saris, and sweets.
Chief Minister interacted with the women, inquiring about their well-being, and extended Raksha Bandhan greetings to all. Among the women who received gifts from the Chief Minister were Rajrani, Ganesh Devi, Kalavati, Mithana, Prabhudei, Shammi, Shanti Devi, Manjulata, Shivkali, Draupadi, and Meera.
