Strengthening Ties: RSP president Rabi Lamichhane meets Prime Minister Modi

New Delhi, June 3: Ravi Lamichhane, President of Nepal’s ruling Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP), met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday. The two leaders discussed various aspects of shared prosperity, development, and regional cooperation between the two countries.

Sharing the information on the social media platform, the Prime Minister said that he was delighted to meet Rabi Lamichhane and fully supported his desire to build a shared and prosperous future. For India, Nepal is an important and primary partner under its Neighborhood First policy.

The Prime Minister said that Nepal is India’s primary partner and, together with the new government, he wishes to elevate the special and multifaceted relationship between the two countries to even greater heights. The relations between India and Nepal are historic and multifaceted. The two countries share deep cultural, religious, and social ties.

In another post, the Prime Minister said that India is committed to building a shared future with Nepal. Cooperation between the two countries will provide new direction to regional stability and development.

It is noteworthy that Lamichhane is on an official visit to India from June 1 to 5 with a five-member delegation. On Tuesday, he met with Bharatiya Janata Party National President Nitin Naveen at the Central Headquarters. He was given a grand welcome upon his arrival at the BJP headquarters.
