Separate accidents claim two lives in Lucknow

Lucknow, June 03: Two people have died in road accidents in different police station areas of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Police reached the spot after receiving information and sent the bodies for post-mortem and started investigating the case, the Lucknow police apprised. 

A truck and a motorcycle collided in front of Shifa Hospital on Hardoi Road in Dubagga police station area on Wednesday morning. Upon receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot and took necessary action. Amritlal, a resident of Tabepur in Gonda district, who was injured in the accident, was sent to the hospital for treatment, where he died during treatment. Vipul Kumar Dwivedi, a resident of Maharajpur in Prayagraj, is injured. Vipul is undergoing treatment at KGMU, Lucknow. Police have informed the family about the incident and have started further action.

Similarly, in the Talkatora police station area, on Tuesday night, a speeding DCM hit a pedestrian walking on the road near Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Degree College, E-Block, Rajajipuram. The man was seriously injured and died on the spot.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the Inspector-in-Charge promptly reached the spot with the police force, collected evidence, and identified the deceased as Subhash Kanojia alias Minku (22), a resident of Kumedani village in Gonda district who was living in a slum near Hyder Canal in Rajajipuram; the police swiftly seized the DCM vehicle and its driver responsible for the accident, with necessary legal proceedings now underway.
