The district magistrate (DM) Ankit Khandelwal, while providing information on Wednesday, stated that extensive preparations have been initiated for the peaceful and safe conduct of the Kanwar Yatra. Meetings have been held with priests from major temples, religious representatives, and prominent figures to seek their opinions so that devotees do not face any inconvenience.

The DM stated that arrangements for cleanliness, drinking water, road repairs, mobile toilets, Kanwar camps, and other essential amenities are being ensured along the Kanwar routes. Detailed discussions have also been held regarding DJs and other arrangements during the Yatra. Regular meetings are being held at the police station, circle, and tehsil levels of the district to review preparations.
