CM Yogi inaugurates projects in Ghazipur, urges citizens to elect good representatives
Ghazipur/Lucknow, July 30: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday, by inaugurating/laying the foundation stone of 268 development projects worth ₹ 692 crore in Ghazipur, appealed to the people to elect such public representatives who can advocate for the public.
He said that we should not have such MPs who are busy in making illegal arms licenses. We should not have such public representatives who, by making fake licenses, dare to commit robbery and illegal occupation of people’s houses.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while providing detailed information about the projects inaugurated and laid the foundation stone in Ghazipur today, said that these projects will benefit the people of Ghazipur, Jakhania, Mohammadabad, Saidpur, Zamania, Zahurabad, and Jangipur assembly constituencies. The Chief Minister stated that spiritual tourism sites in Ghazipur are now being developed. Known as Lahuri Kashi, Ghazipur holds a distinct significance. The district, which has been an important center for the Pauhari Baba Ashram, Lord Parashuram, and Maharishi Jamdagni, is unbecoming of the mafia. These mafias belong to no one. They suck the blood of society, exploiting the poor, terrorizing businesses, and compromising the safety of daughters.
Chief Minister noted that former MLA Krishnanand Rai had fought against the mafia, but the mafia, nurtured by the government, brutally and barbarically murdered Krishnanand Rai and seven other young people. Despite all the evidence, the mafia continued to get protection from the government, but now the mafia cannot get protection, those who do so are sure to face doom.
Taking the names of brave warriors and litterateurs including Veer Abdul Hameed, Yogi said that more than 12000 soldiers/army officers and more than 15000 retired soldiers/army officers live in Asia’s largest village Gahmar. The warriors of Ghazipur did not step back in the fight for the country’s independence, during tribal attacks, during the Kargil wars of 1962, 1965, 1971 and 1999 and during Operation Sindoor. Dozens of youth from here also joined the Azad Hind Fauj formed by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
The Chief Minister said that the land of Ghazipur has always been a center of inspiration for patriotism. Attacking the Samajwadi Party (SP), the Chief Minister said that they glorified foreign invaders instead of national heroes, while the NDA government honors national heroes. 1,000 years ago, national leader Maharaja Suheldev crushed Salar Masood in Chittaura, Bahraich, and gave him the harshest punishment in accordance with Islam. Despite this, the Samajwadi Party and Congress did not allow any event to be held in the name of Maharaja Suheldev, instead organizing a fair dedicated to Salar Masood Ghazi. Our government stated that the fair would be held in the memory of Maharaja Suheldev, not Salar Masood. The government erected a grand memorial and statue of Maharaja Suheldev in Bahraich, built a medical college, and constructed a university in Azamgarh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the then Ghazipur MP Manoj Kumar Sinha launched the Suheldev Superfast train between Ghazipur and Anand Vihar and issued a postage stamp in his memory.
