
Atiq Ahmed’s youngest son Aban Ahmed dies in road accident, three critically injured
Jhansi, August 6: In a tragic accident on Thursday in Jhansi’s Poonch police station area, Aban Ahmed, youngest son of mafia leader Atiq Ahmed, and his friend Sonu were killed instantly when their speeding car lost control and crashed into a divider, shattering on impact, while three of Aban’s friends sustained serious injuries and were rushed to hospital.
According to eyewitnesses, people nearby heard the sound of the accident and informed the police. Upon receiving the information, the Poonch police station and other officials arrived at the scene. Police took possession of both bodies and sent them for post-mortem. The crashed car was removed with the help of a crane and traffic was restored.
According to preliminary information, Atiq’s youngest son, Aban Ahmed, was traveling from Prayagraj to Jhansi to visit his brother Ali, who was imprisoned in Jhansi jail. On the way, his car went out of control and hit a divider in the Poonch police station area. His friend Sonu, who was accompanying him, also died in the accident. Three other youths were injured in the accident and have been admitted to the hospital.
Upon receiving information about the fatal crash, senior police officers rushed to the Poonch police station area in Jhansi, inspected the mangled vehicle and accident site, and launched a comprehensive investigation, with authorities probing all possible angles to determine the cause of the tragedy.
The Superintendent of Police, Rural Arvind Singh, stated that mafia don Atiq Ahmed’s younger son, Aban Ahmed, and his friend died in the accident. He said that the two were traveling from Prayagraj to Jhansi to visit Ali, who is imprisoned there. Prima facie, the cause of the accident appears to be speeding and loss of control of the vehicle. However, the actual cause will only be determined after the investigation is complete.
