Jayant Chaudhary launches RLD expansion drive in Lucknow, vows inclusive growth

Lucknow, August 30: The Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD), which is working to expand its political base and organizational reach in Uttar Pradesh, held a major conference in the capital Lucknow on Sunday, demonstrating its strength ahead of the assembly elections.

At the event held at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, RLD National President and Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary gave the party’s mantra of organizational expansion to its workers.

He emphasized the need to leverage the experience of old workers and the energy of new members to expand the party to every region of the state.

Jayant Chaudhary said that to strengthen the organization, workers must leave behind minor disagreements. Newcomers must be welcomed with an open heart and the party must move forward by leveraging the experiences of old workers. He stated that the RLD will enhance its political strength by bringing together all sections of society.

At the conference, Jayant Chaudhary, referring to the “ABCD” movement, conveyed a message of broad social participation. He indicated that the RLD’s politics would not be limited to any one region or class, but would expand its base in the state by uniting different social groups.

Taking aim at SP President Akhilesh Yadav, Jayant said that political opposition is valid, but it is not appropriate to view every dispute through a political lens. At the conference, RLD leaders emphasized the party’s crucial role in the state’s future politics and claimed that the RLD could play a decisive role in future government formation.

The RLD president stated that Uttar Pradesh is progressing on the path of development. Therefore, everyone should be wary of attempts to create tension and division in society in the name of caste. He emphasized the need to strengthen social unity and bring all sections of society together.

Jayant Chaudhary stated that it is essential to create employment opportunities for youth in Uttar Pradesh along with development. He spoke about linking the Defense Corridor with new employment opportunities. Jayant stated that he will meet with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh to discuss the Uttar Pradesh Defense Corridor. He stated that six cities, from Jhansi to Lucknow, are connected to the Defense Corridor. If this is linked to ITI and skill training, and youth are trained according to the needs of industries, a large number of local youth could find employment.

The party’s focus is now on expanding its organization beyond Western Uttar Pradesh and expanding its presence in Purvanchal, Central Uttar Pradesh, and Bundelkhand. The RLD plans to activate its organization at the booth level in all regions of the state. The conference also emphasized strategies for organizational expansion and the addition of new workers.

Present on the occasion were Anil Kumar, Minister of Science and Technology in the Uttar Pradesh government, Trilok Tyagi, National General Secretary (Organization), Uttar Pradesh State President Aishwarya Raj Singh, and State Media Incharge Mayank Trivedi, along with party leaders, office bearers, and a large number of workers. Brahmin leader BK Shukla of Rae Bareli joined the RLD along with his supporters. Efforts are underway to recruit several other Brahmin and upper caste leaders to the party.
