CM Yogi directs ground-level monitoring during heavy rainfall
Lucknow, September 01: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the loss of life, livestock, and economic losses caused by the continuous rains across Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi has directed all senior officials to go to the field.
He also appealed to the people not to venture out unnecessarily during the inclement weather.
Chief Minister Yogi on Tuesday directed to provide all possible assistance to the affected families. He instructed officials to ensure that waterlogging does not cause any problems for the public. He directed to assess the loss of life, livestock, and economic losses caused by heavy rains and lightning and provide compensation within two to four hours.
He directed that responsible officials should go to the field, assess the situation on the spot, and carry out rescue operations. Officials should communicate with the affected families and provide all possible assistance.
Chief Minister Yogi has appealed to the people of the state not to go out of their homes unnecessarily in view of the danger of lightning during bad weather. Take special precautions while bathing in rivers and water bodies during heavy rains.
It is noteworthy that heavy rains are occurring in many districts of the state since Tuesday morning. In some districts, it has been raining since Monday itself.
The Meteorological department on Tuesday has warned of heavy rains in 30 districts including Ambedkar Nagar, Amethi, Ayodhya, Badaun, Bahraich, Balrampur, Lucknow, Bareilly, Gonda.
