BJP workers protest in Lucknow, demand apology from Kharge
Lucknow, October 26: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Lucknow Metropolitan unit held a protest in Lucknow on Monday against Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s alleged indecent remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late father.
The protest was led by BJP Lucknow Metropolitan President Anand Dwivedi. Party workers protested strongly against the alleged remarks, taking out a protest march from the Lalji Tandon statue in Hazratganj to Hazratganj Square, raising slogans against the Congress leadership.
BJP leaders strongly condemned the Congress President’s statement, calling it indecent. BJP MLC Mukesh Sharma said that Mallikarjun Kharge’s statement was highly objectionable and he should apologize for it. Narendra Modi is the Prime Minister of India. This has hurt the sentiments of millions of countrymen. Making such comments about him reflects the mentality of the Congress leader.
