PM Modi chairs NITI Aayog meet

New Delhi, 7 August: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday chaired the 7th Governing Council meeting of the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog at the Cultural Center of Rashtrapati Bhavan to exchange views on key policy issues between the Center and the states.

Chief Ministers of states, Lieutenant Governors of union territories and union ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman, S Jaishankar, Nitin Gadkari, Piyush Goyal, Dharmendra Pradhan were present in the meeting of the Governing Council, the apex body of NITI Aayog.

The Chief Ministers including Mamata Banerjee (West Bengal), Bhagwant Mann (Punjab), Ashok Gehlot (Rajasthan), Naveen Patnaik (Odisha), YS Jagan Reddy (Andhra Pradesh), Yogi Adityanath (Uttar Pradesh), Pushkar Singh Dhami (Uttarakhand) , Manik Shah (Tripura), Prem Singh Tamang (Sikkim), Pramod Sawant (Goa), Bhupendra Patel (Gujarat), Manohar Lal Khattar (Haryana), Jai Ram Thakur (Himachal Pradesh), N Biren Singh (Manipur) participated in the meeting.

Apart from this, Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Ladakh’s Lieutenant Governor Radha Krishna Mathur were also present in the meeting.
