CM Yogi highlights power of devotion at Mahashivpuran Katha in Rae Bareli

Rae Bareli, September 13: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that whoever has found devotion to God has received their wishes fulfilled. Hanuman ji, who was revered as a deity, became revered. Devotion to Shiva also makes us meaningful.

Chief Minister was expressing his views on Sunday among devotees who had gathered for the ongoing Shri Shiv Mahapuran Katha in Unchahar, Rae Bareli district. The Katha is organized by Dr. Manoj Pandey, a cabinet minister in the Yogi government.

Chief Minister Yogi said that Shiva is a Mahadev whose sacred Jyotirlingas are located from the Himalayas to Rameshwaram, which reflect cultural unity. Devotion to Shiva reveals unity across India’s political boundaries. The devotion to Shiva that exists in Tamil Nadu is the same in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Maharashtra. Whether it’s Kashi or Prayagraj, or anywhere else in the state, devotion to Shiva is imbibed through stories.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that these stories evoke the feeling of Shiva in a pebble. Shiva bears poison for the sake of well-being. He is the deity of public welfare, who paves the way for public welfare by eliminating negative forces.

Yogi said that if stories continue, no one can harm Sanatan. A positive environment is the strength of society and the nation. Religion is our life force; it encompasses more than just worship; it is also linked to duty and patriotism.

CM Yogi said that even when foreign invaders trampled our land, we continued to strengthen cultural unity through stories. He said that when Goswami Tulsidas was offered the title of one of the nine gems, he refused, saying that he could not accept any foreigner as king; his only king was Ram. When religion continued to be attacked, the nation’s unity was strengthened through the Ram Katha. The Chief Minister stated that cultural and national unity was strengthened through the Ramlila. This strengthened the nation’s foundation and empowered society.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated on this occasion that we remember Prayagraj for harmony in life, Kashi for consciousness, and Mathura for devotion in life. This is our heritage. The Chief Minister stated that the sages preserved the sacred stream of knowledge in Naimisharanya. This knowledge is reaching all of us through the Katha.

Prior to this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed a puja on the stage and welcomed the narrator, Pandit Pradeep Mishra. On this occasion, the Katha organizer, Dr. Manoj Pandey, welcomed the Chief Minister. Minister Rakesh Sachan, Union Minister BL Sharma, Chief Minister’s Advisor Awanish Awasthi, MLC Umesh Dwivedi, MLA Ashok Kori, and several senior leaders and officials were present.
