First flight takes off from Noida International Airport, Aviation Minister flags it off

Noida, June 15: Flight operations commenced today at the newly built Noida International Airport in Jewar, Gautam Buddha Nagar, with Union Aviation Minister K Ram Mohan Naidu flagging off the inaugural service that carried farmers who had given land for the project to Lucknow to meet Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath; flights have begun to four destinations and will expand to 12 in the coming months.

On this occasion, Union Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu said, “We are delighted that the farmers who donated land for the airport will board the first flight to Lucknow today to meet Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. This is a historic day. There was enthusiasm among the people about this project, and today the day has come when flight services have started.” The Union Minister congratulated the farmers, the farmers, and everyone involved in the construction of this project.

He said that Noida International Airport was a vision of the Prime Minister. He envisioned an airport here. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and others worked together to fulfill this vision like a mission. Union Aviation Minister Naidu also praised Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh, saying that he convinced the farmers to donate their land. The opening of this airport will greatly benefit the youth and will increase employment opportunities for thousands of people. The people of Jewar will benefit from this.

He said that Noida International Airport is going to become a hub for domestic operations. He said that Jewar will become Asia’s largest airport in the future. He stated that industry, manufacturing, hospitality, and agriculture will flourish here. He added that multiple industries will depend on this airport. Initially, they are starting with 12 million passengers, with the goal of increasing this to 70 million by Phase 4.

He noted that the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for an Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) network here. The opening of this airport will spark numerous activities.

Union Aviation Minister Naidu announced that flights to four destinations will begin today. Flights to 12 destinations will be operational in the coming months. In the coming days, Noida International Airport will be connected to all major destinations in the country.

He noted that Jewar Airport connects many cities in western Uttar Pradesh. Noida International Airport will serve as a base for many cities in western Uttar Pradesh. Several highways connect this airport, allowing people from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana to fly from there. He added that the airport will also be connected to high-speed rail in the future. Responding to a question, he stated that if airlines cancel flights, passenger interests will be taken into consideration.
