FWICE chief advisor Ashok Pandit appeals members not to collaborate with ‘Dhurandhar’ Ranveer Singh, actor breaks silence
Actor Ranveer Singh is in trouble after his sudden withdrawal from Farhan Akhtar’s film ‘Don 3’. The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has issued a non-cooperation order against him and has instructed its members not to work in any of Ranveer’s projects. Amidst the growing controversy, FWICE chief advisor Ashok Pandit held a press conference and clarified the reason behind this decision.
Ashok Pandit said that in the ‘Don 3’ controversy, producer-director Farhan Akhtar had accused Ranveer Singh of leaving the film a few days before the shooting started. According to him, the producers suffered a loss of around Rs 45 crores due to the actor’s sudden withdrawal.
Pandit said, “After receiving the complaint, we formally registered the case. Ranveer Singh was sent three notices and three reminders every 10 days, but received no response.”
He further said, “When we decided to hold a press conference, we received an email from Ranveer’s team. It stated that the matter did not fall under their jurisdiction and they had no right to interfere. Considering the actor’s stance, we decided to take further action.”
FWICE has now appealed to filmmakers to clarify their stance on the matter and show solidarity with the organization. The Federation believes that such incidents set a bad precedent for the industry and should not be encouraged.

Ranveer Singh has been in the news these days due to the controversy surrounding the film ‘Don 3’. Recently, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) issued a ‘Non-Cooperative Directive’ against the actor. Under this, employees, technicians, and members associated with the federation will no longer work with Ranveer Singh or any of his projects. An official statement has now been issued by the actor’s team on this entire matter.
In a statement, Ranveer Singh’s team said, “Ranveer Singh has deep respect for the film industry and everyone associated with ‘Don 3’. He has deliberately maintained silence because he believes that professional discussions and personal relationships should be handled with dignity, maturity, and mutual respect. He has not felt it necessary to engage in public statements or speculation. At present, his full focus is on his work and upcoming commitments.”
The controversy began when Ranveer Singh reportedly withdrew from Farhan Akhtar’s film “Don 3.”
According to reports, creative differences arose between the actor and the producers. It’s being reported that Ranveer’s departure from the project was already well underway, and the producers suffered significant losses. Excel Entertainment subsequently demanded ₹40 crore in compensation from the actor, leading to further disputes and the intervention of the FWICE.
