Madhuri Dixit responds to critics, says “She lives life on her own terms”
Once known as Bollywood’s “Dhak-Dhak Girl,” Madhuri Dixit Nene, has openly spoken about the trolling she faces regarding aging and changing appearance. During a conversation, she said that changes in the body and face are a natural process with age, but she won’t stop doing what she loves because of people’s comments. Madhuri said that one should do what makes them happy and that she prefers to live life her own way.
Madhuri admitted that sometimes she feels bad about what trolls say, but she doesn’t let them overwhelm her. She said that dance is an important part of her life and is also her biggest exercise, which keeps her fit and energetic. She believes that life should be lived according to one’s own happiness, not according to society’s perspective.
In the context of her upcoming film “Maa Behan,” Madhuri also questioned the idealized image of a mother in society. She said that mothers are often idealized to the point where they are expected to be perfect at all times, whereas they too are human beings and need rest and care. She also praised the new generation of actors, saying that today’s young artists work with complete preparation. Madhuri praised artists like Tripti Dimri and Dharana Durga and expressed pride in the new generation.
