Massive participation marks ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign in Lucknow
Lucknow, August 9: Under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, a grand “Tiranga Yatra” was flagged off from his residence as part of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign, with over 30,000 youth and students marching with the tricolor, raising patriotic slogans of Bharat Mata ki Jai, pledging to hoist the national flag in every home, and drawing attention as two girl students from Bharat Scouts and Guides walked alongside the Chief Minister carrying the tricolor.
As the Tiranga Yatra moved forward from the Chief Minister’s residence, the streets of the capital were awash with patriotic fervor. Waving tricolors, enthusiastic faces, and an atmosphere filled with patriotism lent the Yatra its grandeur. A large number of people lined the route to welcome Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the Tiranga Yatra participants and students with showers of flowers. People on both sides of the road from the Chief Minister’s residence to the Civil Hospital and the Assembly also displayed significant enthusiasm for the tricolor. The enthusiasm of the students enhanced the grandeur of the Tiranga Yatra. Thousands of students from government and private schools participated enthusiastically in the “Har Ghar Tiranga” Yatra. The tricolor in the hands of the children and the patriotic enthusiasm on their faces were the main attractions of the event. Participants conveyed the message of patriotism and national unity.
A two-thousand-foot-long human chain of the tricolor was another special sight in the capital as part of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign. Children from a private defense academy near the Vidhan Sabha formed a human chain and hoisted a nearly 2,000-foot-long tricolor from the Vidhan Bhavan to the Hazratganj intersection. A large number of children stood together to show respect for the tricolor.
The tricolor displayed a message of unity and patriotism
The “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign aims to instill a sense of respect and pride for the national flag among the people. The Tiranga Yatra, held in Lucknow to mark the campaign’s launch, brought this spirit to life. The participation of children, youth, and the general public, along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, gave the event a public participation feel.
Children and participants shared their experiences
Aryan, a tenth-grade student who participated in the Tiranga Yatra, said he felt proud to participate. Seeing so many children together demonstrated his patriotic spirit. Ananya, an eleventh-grade student, said, “Walking with the tricolor in hand was a special experience for me. Participating in the Yatra with the Chief Minister further increased my respect for the country.”
Sakshi, a graduate student, said that the Tiranga Yatra has strengthened the sense of patriotism and responsibility among the youth. She felt very proud to see thousands of people united in Lucknow. Vivek, a student preparing for army recruitment in Lucknow, said that the tricolor is not just a flag for us, it is our pride and honor. This Tiranga Yatra has further strengthened my resolve to join the army. Kavita Singh, marching towards the Assembly with the tricolor in her hand, said that she had joined the Yatra with her children. This opportunity to teach and demonstrate patriotism to the children was very special for her family.
