Nana Patekar applauds transformation in UP, citing people’s renewed confidence in security
Lucknow, August 16: Praising the leadership of chief minister Yogi Adityanath, Bollywood versatile actor Nana Patekar said that maintaining effective security in such a large and diverse state is not easy. He said that law and order has been made a top priority of governance in Uttar Pradesh, and its positive results are clearly visible today.
At the launch of the Uttar Pradesh Police theme song “Khaki Ka Sitara” in Lucknow, Nana Patekar said that in a state with a population of approximately 25 crore, security is not ensured by simply increasing the number of police forces; it requires strong leadership, clear policy, and a strong will.
Congratulating Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, he said that under his leadership, the police have been provided with modern resources, new technology, and confidence, which has strengthened law and order.
Nana Patekar said that he has witnessed remarkable changes in Uttar Pradesh over the past several decades. People’s trust in law and order has increased. The administrative system is improving, and the government’s decision-making style shows clarity. He said that the more modern the police, the safer citizens will be, and the more aware citizens are, the more difficult it will be for criminals to operate.
Nana Patekar also expressed concern over the growing threats of cybercrime and digital arrests. He said that cybercrime is a real challenge today, and anyone can become a victim. He appealed to people to be immediately alert if someone posing as a police, CBI, or other agency attempts to intimidate or demand money through phone or video calls. He said that cybercriminals’ greatest weapon is not technology, but people’s fear.
He also praised the film made by the Uttar Pradesh Police to raise awareness about digital arrests, saying that if the participation of artists can save a family’s life savings or protect an elderly person from fraud, there can be no greater social contribution than this.
Praising the work of the officers and soldiers of the Uttar Pradesh Police, Nana Patekar said that policemen do not have the opportunity for retakes like in films. They have to make quick decisions in difficult situations, and this is their biggest responsibility. He expressed confidence that the Uttar Pradesh Police will continue to maintain the public’s trust and play an important role in making the state even safer.
