Next‑gen megastar Yash’s ‘Toxic’ gets clearance from Board with ‘A’ certificate
The way has been cleared for the release of Kannada superstar Yash’s much-awaited action-thriller film ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’. The film, which has been in the news for a long time regarding its release, has been given the green signal by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The film has been passed with an ‘A’ certificate. This means that only viewers aged 18 years and above will be able to watch the film in theatres. Along with the certification, the duration of the film has also been revealed.
According to the CBFC certificate, the certified length of ‘Toxic’, directed by Geetu Mohandas, is 194.12 minutes, which means the film will be approximately 3 hours 14 minutes 12 seconds long. The language of the film has been stated to be Kannada. There has long been tremendous excitement among Yash’s fans about “Toxic.” The film’s genre and lengthy runtime make it a grand cinematic experience on the big screen.
“Toxic” was originally scheduled for release on March 19, 2026, but was later postponed. According to reports, one reason for the film’s release was to avoid a potential clash with Ranveer Singh’s “Dhurandhar 2.” The film couldn’t be released in June, and the producers have now set a new date for August 26, 2026. The film stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasant in pivotal roles alongside Yash. The film’s certification by the CBFC has now put an end to the uncertainty surrounding the film’s release.
