
On social media, Modi shares morning visit to Rajghat, honors Mahatma Gandhi
New Delhi, August 15: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, at Rajghat on Saturday, on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day.
The Prime Minister laid a wreath and paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi at his Samadhi at Rajghat. During the ceremony, he recalled Mahatma Gandhi’s contributions to the nation and his thoughts.
In a post on the social media platform, the Prime Minister stated that he visited Rajghat this morning and paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. The country will always draw inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi’s vision and actions.
He stated that the government will continue to work tirelessly for the progress of every Indian and to make the country progressive and prosperous. He described Mahatma Gandhi’s thoughts as a source of inspiration for the country’s development and public welfare.
It is noteworthy that every year on Independence Day, the Prime Minister visits Rajghat to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. Afterward, he participates in the Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort.
