UP assembly polls: FLC of EVMs, VVPATs underway; Officials receive special training
First-level checking of EVMs and VVPATs will be conducted with complete transparency and according to prescribed standards.

Lucknow, September 14: Preparations for the first level checking (FLC) of EVMs and VVPATs in Uttar Pradesh have intensified for the upcoming assembly elections. Meanwhile, emphasis is being placed on conducting the FLC process in accordance with prescribed standards and with complete transparency. Representatives of political parties will be informed of each stage, and their participation will be ensured.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) is striving to involve as many political parties as possible in this process. To ensure quality and transparency in the FLC, election officials are being given special training at a one-day workshop in Lucknow on Monday.
Senior Deputy Election Commissioner of the ECI, Manish Garg, and Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Uttar Pradesh, Navdeep Rinwa, are in special attendance at this workshop. A one-day training workshop for District Election Officers, Deputy District Election Officers, and FLC supervisors is being held in Lucknow on Monday.
The election officers from 33 districts across the state are being trained in this training program. The training program is being held today from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at RUPAAM (Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Uttar Pradesh Academy of Administration and Management), Sultanpur Road, Lucknow.
A senior Election Commission official stated that District Election Officers from seven divisions—Lucknow, Kanpur, Moradabad, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, Ayodhya, and Devipatan—are participating in the Lucknow workshop.
Training has also been conducted in Gautam Buddha Nagar and Varanasi
Officials from 21 districts in Gautam Buddha Nagar and 21 districts in Varanasi have already received training. He stated that during the FLC, technical and administrative procedures will be followed, along with Election Commission of India guidelines. For fair and transparent elections, special emphasis is being placed on the FLC of EVMs and VVPATs.
