BSP bags 19 seats in Rajasthan civic polls, Mayawati alleges rigging cut BSP gains

Lucknow, September 15: The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has won 19 seats in the urban body elections held in Rajasthan. Party national president Mayawati congratulated all councillors on this victory. She also alleged rigging in the election results.

Posting on social media on Tuesday, the BSP chief wrote that the BSP has also won 19 seats in the civic body elections held in Rajasthan. Due to government machinery malfunctions, many candidates were forcibly defeated in the recount by a small margin of votes, otherwise the party could have achieved an even better result here. The party extended its heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all BSP officials, both senior and junior, and workers.

Mayawati further wrote that earlier in the local body elections held in Punjab and some other states of the country, the party had achieved better results than before and they too deserve congratulations. It is hoped that now all of them will definitely bring better results for their party in the upcoming assembly elections there and in the Lok Sabha general elections in the country.

On the occasion of the Republic Day ‘Nua Khai Tihar’ of Odisha state, especially in the West and South Odisha region, Mayawati said that along with wishing happiness and prosperity from nature to all the people, I also extend Nua Juha to everyone.
