Veteran actress Zeenat Aman shares personal story, reveals Hindu identity
At a recent event, veteran actress Zeenat Aman, who recently came into the limelight by disclosing her real Hindu name, made a captivating revelation about her personal life, stating that while her father named her Zeenat Aman, her devoutly religious Hindu mother—who spent hours daily in prayer—had originally named her Laliteshwari.
Zeenat explained that she was raised amidst diverse cultures and religious traditions. Her mother was Hindu, her father was Muslim, she attended Catholic school, and her stepfather was German. This is why she doesn’t limit herself to any one religion. The actress believes that all religions preach humanity, love, and peace, and these values are the foundation of her life.
Sharing her thoughts, Zeenat said that humanity, kindness, equality, and love for both humans and animals are her true religion.
