VP, PM Modi, and HM Shah pay tribute to victims of Pahalgam terror attack anniversary

New Delhi, April 22: The Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah paid tribute on Wednesday to the victims of last year’s Pahalgam terror attack.

Describing the Pahalgam attack as a “cowardly and brutal act,” Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan said the lives lost in the attack will live forever in our collective memory. Expressing solidarity with the families of the victims, he said such acts cannot undermine the values ​​of peace, unity, and humanity. We remain steadfast in our resolve to combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

In his message, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the innocent people who lost their lives in the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam on this day last year. Remembering the victims, the Prime Minister said they will never be forgotten. He reiterated the nation’s unwavering commitment to stand with their families in this hour of grief.

Prime Minister Modi emphasized that the country is united in this hour of grief and its resolve against terrorism remains unwavering. He reiterated that the country will never bow down to terrorism in any form and that the nefarious designs of terrorists will never succeed.

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah said that the pain of this attack still remains in the hearts of every Indian.

Calling terrorism “the biggest enemy of humanity,” he said that the country must fight it unitedly. Shah also clarified that India will continue its zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and those who support it.

It is noteworthy that on April 22, 2025, terrorists from Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and TRF carried out a planned attack on tourists in the Besaran Valley of Pahalgam, killing 26 people. This attack was carried out to spread communal unrest by targeting people on the basis of religion.
