
Rahul Gandhi to arrive in Amethi on Wednesday for a one-day visit
Amethi, May 19: The Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha and former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi will arrive in Amethi on Wednesday, May 20, for a day-long visit. The Congress workers are experiencing tremendous enthusiasm for Rahul Gandhi’s visit. Amidst the scorching heat of May, temperatures have reached close to 45 degrees, Rahul Gandhi’s arrival has also raised the political temperature in the district.
Congress District President Pradeep Singhal said on Tuesday that Rahul Gandhi will first visit Ramdin Pandit Ka Purwa in Gauriganj to meet with the family of the late Yogendra Mishra, a former Congress District President and close associate of the Gandhi family, and express his condolences. He will then interact with members of the Congress Party, various frontal organizations, and booth presidents at an event organized behind the Kisan Oil Supply Center on Sultanpur Road. More than two thousand workers are expected to attend the event.
Senior Congress leader and member of the Railway Consumer Advisory Committee, Anupam Pandey, stated that Rahul Gandhi will energize party workers for the upcoming 2027 assembly elections and will deliver a message to strengthen the organization down to the booth level. Following the meeting, he will inaugurate a new ultrasound machine at the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Munshiganj and, after dedicating the newly constructed auditorium at the Indira Gandhi College of Nursing, will depart for Lucknow.
It is noteworthy that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s two-day visit to Uttar Pradesh began today. Gandhi arrived in Rae Bareli on Tuesday and will participate in various programs there. Afterward, he will travel to Amethi.
