‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’, ‘Aakhri Sawal’ fail to shine as Suriya’s ‘Karuppu’ rules box office
Ayushmann Khurrana’s romantic-comedy film ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ performed well during the opening weekend, but its earnings have declined as the business days have begun. According to the Bollywood tracker Sacnilk, the film grossed only ₹3.25 crore on its fourth day, i.e., its first Monday. Previously, the film had earned ₹4 crore on the first day, ₹5.75 crore on the second day, and ₹7.75 crore on the third day. The film’s total domestic collection in four days has now reached ₹20.75 crore.
Due to this decline in the film’s earnings, trade experts believe that its path may become more difficult in the coming days. Next week, Ananya Panday and Lakshya Lalwani’s romantic film ‘Chand Mera Dil’ is going to be released in theaters, which may affect the box office. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles.
Meanwhile, Suriya and Trisha Krishnan’s “Karappu” continues to perform well at the box office. The film grossed ₹16.54 crore on its fourth day, bringing its total collection to ₹82.30 crore. “Karappu” is now rapidly moving towards the ₹100 crore club. Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt’s “Aakhri Sawaal” is struggling at the box office. The film earned just ₹2.1 million on its fourth day, bringing its total collection to ₹2.16 crore.
