
Security alert at Mumbai airport over false bomb call
Mumbai, June 14: Panic erupted at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai on Sunday morning after receiving a threatening email to blow the airport. Upon receiving the information, police, Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), and security personnel immediately conducted a thorough search of the airport premises, but found nothing suspicious. Mumbai Police have registered a case against an unknown individual and are actively searching for the sender of the hoax email.
The police officer investigating the incident stated that a bomb threat was received via email at Mumbai Airport this morning. Upon receiving the threat, police personnel, along with the BDDS squad, arrived at the airport and conducted a thorough search of every nook and corner. Panic had spread at the airport after receiving the bomb threat. People felt relieved when nothing suspicious was found after the search.
The authorities have filed a case against the unknown sender, and a police search is underway to locate the individual.
