New Delhi, 25 November: Reliance Jio, the largest telecom company in the country and private sector, launched True 5G service in all the districts of Gujarat on Friday. With this, Gujarat has become the first state in the country with the ‘True 5G for All’ initiative, where all 33 district headquarters will get 100 percent true 5G service.
After the launch of the 5G service in Gujarat, Jio consumers will also start getting invitations for the ‘Jio Welcome Offer. Under this offer, customers will also get unlimited 5G data and speed up to 1Gbps, for which they will not have to pay anything. Before Gujarat, Jio had recently launched Jio True 5G service in other cities of NCR after Pune and Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad. Jio is rapidly rolling out the True-5G network in the country.
Gujarat holds special significance for Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), as it is the birthplace of the company. Jio will launch a series of true 5G-powered initiatives in the education, health, healthcare, agriculture, Industry 4.0 and IoT sectors in Gujarat as a model state, expanding across the country.
Apart from Gujarat, Pune and Delhi, Jio has already started its True-5G service in Mumbai, Kolkata, Varanasi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Nathdwara. Reliance Jio launched its 5G service in the country on October 5, the festive season. The company plans to start 5G service in every corner of the country by December 2023.
