
CM Yogi joins prominent saints in Kamadgiri ritual walk in Chitrakoot
Chitrakoot, July 9: On the second day of his district visit, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed rites and rituals in the holy land of Lord Shri Ram, visited Lord Shri Kamtanath, completed the sacred ‘Kamadgiri Parikrama’, and prayed for the happiness, prosperity, peace, and welfare of the state.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath started his Parikrama from Baraha Hanuman Temple, visited Raghuvar Kishore Temple and performed the sacred Parikrama of Lord Shri Kamtanath with reverence and devotion. During the Parikrama, Saint Madan Gopal Das ji performed the worship in Ram Mohalla. At the first Mukharvind, priest Bharat Sharan Das Maharaj performed the ritualistic worship amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras. At the Bharat Milap Temple, Mahant Ram Manohar Das Ji performed the worship and aarti of Lord Bharat’s footprints. At the Baraha Hanuman Temple, temple priest Vijay Tiwari Maharaj performed the ritualistic worship and aarti of Lord Hanuman.
At the Kamadgiri Maha Aarti site, Acharya Vipin Virat performed the Maha Aarti and worship of Lord Kamatnath with the Chief Minister’s hands. On this occasion, Acharya Vipin Virat honored the Chief Minister by presenting him with a picture of Kamadgiri and a Ramnami robe. Member of the Kamadgiri constituency, Arun Kumar Tripathi “Jugal,” welcomed him by presenting him with a picture and a robe of Lord Kamatnath. Present at the Maha Aarti were Ramchandra Das Ji of the Tulsi Peeth, Mahant Divya Jeevandas Ji of the Bharat Mandir, and numerous saints and Mahants.
During the Parikrama, the entire Parikrama area resonated with the devotional chants of “Jai Shri Ram” and praises of the Chief Minister, chanted by devotees. Yogi interacted cordially with the small children present on the route, gathered information about their studies and encouraged them by distributing toffees and chocolates. He also encouraged the children by taking them in his lap affectionately. Apart from this, he demonstrated his sensitivity and compassion towards animals by feeding gram and jaggery to monkeys and cattle on the Parikrama route.
After completing the Parikrama, Chief Minister Yogi reached the Circuit House, where he planted a Harishankari tree under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign. After this, he met and interacted with party officials and workers. On the occasion of his departure from Chitrakoot district to Banda district, he was given a respectful farewell by providing him a guard of honour.
