The Future Is Orbiting: Musk’s Starlink set for explosive growth worldwide

Washington, November 7 (RIA Novosti): SpaceX, owned by Elon Musk, one of the world’s richest industrialists, is preparing to significantly expand its satellite internet network, Starlink. The company plans to deploy thousands of next-generation satellites in space. The aim is to meet the rapidly growing internet traffic and significantly increase the network’s capacity.

SpaceX chief Elon Musk revealed this plan in an interview with investor Ron Baron. He stated that currently, Starlink has approximately 11,000 satellites in space, most of which are second-generation (V2). The company has now begun launching third-generation (V3) satellites.

According to Musk, Starlink V3 satellites will have more than 10 times the capacity of V2. The company also plans to increase the number of satellites by approximately 10 times that of existing satellites. He claimed that Starlink’s total bandwidth could exceed current capacity by 100 times in the next two to three years. This will help provide faster and better internet connectivity worldwide.

Musk also expressed concern about the increasing role of artificial intelligence (AI) in internet traffic. He stated that AI bots currently generate more internet traffic than humans. This difference could reach thousands of times in the next five years.

Musk also announced the development of the Starlink V4 satellite. According to him, its capacity will be 10 times greater than V3. This will specifically improve long-range laser communication links. He stated that the current laser link capacity is approximately 100 gigabits per second, while the next-generation laser link capacity could reach 10 terabits per second.

This plan by SpaceX could bring a major change in the field of satellite internet and play a key role in meeting the growing needs of AI and digital communication in the future.
