Lucknow, May 7: The Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has said that under the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government, crime is rampant in Uttar Pradesh. Crime incidents are increasing from Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad to Ghazipur. Murders are taking place in some places, while robberies are taking place elsewhere. Criminals are openly shooting. In Greater Noida, a man was shot outside his home in broad daylight.

This information was provided by the party on behalf of Akhilesh Yadav in a letter issued on Thursday. It stated that in Ghaziabad, criminals looted ₹27 lakh from a cash bank in broad daylight. They held the driver hostage and opened fire. The BJP government has ruined the law and order situation in the state. Criminals are fearless due to the protection of power. Under this government, Uttar Pradesh has reached number one in the country in crimes against women and cybercrime. Under the BJP government, the general public and women are not safe. Heinous murders of daughters are taking place in districts. Victim families are denied justice.

In Ghazipur, a daughter from the Vishwakarma community and the victim’s family were denied justice. In Hardoi, a daughter from the Kushwaha community was denied justice. In Fatehpur, a daughter from the Maurya community was denied justice. The government’s claim of zero tolerance is false. Dozens of crime incidents occur daily in the state.

Injustice and atrocities are rampant. The BJP government is exploiting the police for political purposes. Police stations have become dens of corruption. Corruption is rampant in the state. The BJP government is responsible for the rising crime and corruption. The BJP will be removed from power in 2027. Under a Samajwadi Party government, the state will be free of crime and corruption. The general public will receive justice and a fear-free environment. The state will develop.
