Criminal with a reward of ₹ 25,000 held in Lucknow

Lucknow, May 9: The Lucknow commissionerate police has arrested a criminal on Saturday carrying a reward of 25,000 rupees with the help of a surveillance team. The arrested accused was wanted under the Gangsters Act, police reported. 

The Chowk police station chief Nagesh Upadhyay said that the Chowk Inspector in-charge was investigating the case registered at Wazirganj police station under the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters Act. The court had issued an arrest warrant against gang leader Rajiv Srivastava, a resident of Faizullaganj Gaurbhit Square, who was absconding in the case. In this regard, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, West, had announced a cash reward of 25,000 rupees for the gang leader’s arrest. Rajiv Srivastava, wanted in this case, was arrested on May 8 from Sushant Golf City Gate, Skyline Plaza police station area.

The station in-charge said that cases have been registered against gang leader Rajiv in several police stations in Lucknow district and other districts. Further legal action is being taken against him at the local police station.
