Criminal with a reward of 50,000 rupees held in Lucknow

Lucknow, May 5: The Lucknow commissionerate police, with the help of the Crime Branch and surveillance, arrested a criminal carrying a reward of 50,000 rupees. He was wanted in a robbery case.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), Kiran Yadav, said on Tuesday that teams were searching for the criminal wanted in a case registered at the Vibhuti Khand police station. The Police arrested the criminal from the road leading to the railway line from Hanuman Square. He has been identified as Salman Khan, a resident of Chinhat, Lucknow. He was wanted in connection with the April 5 robbery of lakhs of rupees from a businessman in Gujarat. On April 10, police arrested six of his associates and recovered approximately 4.7 million rupees.

The ADCP further told that the police were searching for other accomplices. In the meantime, information about the accused Salman was received, and the police apprehended him. Vibhuti Khand police are taking further action against him.
