
Jaunpur resident shot dead in Lucknow
Lucknow, May 27: A 43-year-old man was shot dead on Wednesday in the SGPGI police station area of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Police officers, who arrived on the scene after receiving information, have formed four teams to investigate the incident, police reported.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), Amit Kumar Anand, stated that bike-borne criminals shot a man in the SGPGI police station area this afternoon and fled. Police arrived at the scene after receiving information and admitted the injured man to the hospital for treatment. The young man died shortly thereafter while undergoing treatment. Police have identified the deceased as Sandeep Singh (43), a resident of Takari village in Jaunpur district. He was currently living in the Vrindavan area of PGI.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police stated that a case has been registered against unknown persons based on a complaint filed by the deceased’s wife, Preeti. Based on CCTV footage and other evidence, four police teams have been formed to identify and arrest the accused. The incident will be revealed soon.
