People are also being instructed not to sacrifice animals in the open. Police will deal strictly with those creating disturbances during the festival.

In a recent meeting, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave strict instructions to police and administrative officials to ensure a peaceful celebration of the festival. He clarified that namaz should only be offered in mosques, Eidgah, or designated traditional places. Under no circumstances will prayers be offered by blocking public roads, and animal sacrifice (Qurbani) will not be permitted in the open. The sacrifice of prohibited animals should not occur under any circumstances. He instructed officials to maintain a high level of vigilance regarding cleanliness, power supply, and security arrangements throughout the festival.

Muslim religious leaders are also appealing to the public to follow the orders of the government and district administration. They are not to take any action that would cause inconvenience to the public. Celebrate the festival peacefully. Do not perform sacrifices in the open, nor make videos of them and upload them on social media. Do not dispose of animal remains in public or in the open.

The Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Rajiv Krishna has ordered flag marches in sensitive areas to ensure the safe completion of the festival and strengthen security.
