
Lucknow police recovers 220 cell phones valued at ₹42 lakh
Lucknow, June 01: The Cyber Cell of the Lucknow Police Commissionerate, Uttar Pradesh, recovered 220 lost or stolen mobile phones from various locations in the district. On Monday, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) West, Kamlesh Dixit, returned the lost mobile phones to their rightful owners. Their value is approximately 4.25 million rupees.
The DCP West stated that people had filed complaints about their lost or stolen phones at various police stations in the district and at the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR). The district police are continuously working on this matter. With the help of the Cyber Help Desk teams of all the active police stations in the Western Zone, a total of 220 mobile phones from various companies were recovered from Lucknow and surrounding districts and states.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) returned them to their rightful owners on Monday.
