
Morning chaos as fire engulfs airport labor camp in lucknow
Lucknow, October 6: A fire broke out at a labor camp at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on Tuesday morning. Upon receiving information about the fire, approximately six fire engines arrived at the scene and began extinguishing the blaze.
According to Fire Station Incharge Sumit Singh, the building where the fire broke out is located some distance from the terminal. Seeing the smoke, panic gripped the scene. The fire brigade team, which arrived at the scene, began extinguishing the fire. Reports indicate that this building on the airport campus contains approximately 33 small rooms, occupied by laborers working on a hotel construction project within the complex. The temporary PVC-framed accommodation was constructed for them.
Rampal, a resident of Sitapur, said he was on night duty when a fire broke out on the ground floor. The fire quickly spread to the entire room. Firefighters have brought the fire under control. A laborer from Bihar suffered minor burns while extinguishing the fire.
Rahul Kumar, a resident of Pratapgarh, was injured after jumping from the second floor. Both are being treated at a hospital in Krishnanagar.
