Mayawati warns Gen-Zs against falling into ruling–opposition games
Lucknow, August 11: The National president of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mayawati has appealed to the students and youth i.e. ‘Gen-Z’ to stay away from the conspiracy going on between the ruling party and the opposition to solve their problems.
She has alleged that the people of the ruling party and the opposition will take advantage of this for their narrow politics.
Mayawati, while making the allegation during a press conference in Lucknow on Tuesday, said that for some time now, the people of the ruling party and the opposition are not allowing the Parliament to function in the guise of one issue or the other to divert and divert the attention of the public from the burning issues of the country and public interest. This is either an internal conspiracy to divert public attention from the shortcomings of their central and state governments, or it appears to be a conspiracy to seize power under the guise of this, and the people of the country are clearly seeing all this.
She said that the students and youth of the country, i.e., the Gen-Z, etc., are also deeply saddened and worried about their numerous problems, and the BSP, following its working style, has always stood with them to resolve them, and continues to do so. This movement is linked to the serious problems of all the students and youth of the country and their families, for which the BSP is constantly serious and is struggling in its own way.
Mayawati said that the country should not feel that instead of solving the problems of the students and Gen-Zs, these people are becoming increasingly entangled in their politics. He said that a few days ago, a protest broke out at Jantar Mantar in Delhi regarding the problems of students, youth, and Gen-Z, and others. The Congress party and its allies hijacked this movement, which is no secret. Parliament is still unable to function under its cover. Now, in Jharkhand, students and youth have been protesting for several days, raising their voices against the Congress party and its allies. Now, the BJP and its allies are stepping forward to support them. It seems they, too, have hijacked their movement.
The BSP chief said that we are seeing more politics being played out under the guise of the protests in Delhi and now in Jharkhand. Therefore, students should always stay away from this. She added that during the four terms of the BSP government in Uttar Pradesh, we have not let students and youth feel disappointed in any matter. We have addressed the problems of students and youth in a timely manner. By removing the long-standing ban on government recruitment imposed by previous governments, which was significantly affecting the functioning of all departments, we have provided livelihood opportunities to millions of people in the state. Furthermore, we have created new government positions in the police department and other departments, providing employment to millions of people. This is precisely what young people and students desire after completing their studies and training, which the current governments of various parties at the center and in the states across the country are unable to provide, leading to widespread anger among them.
Mayawati accused the government of weakening the reservation system, saying that reservation for Dalits, tribals, and other backward classes in government jobs has now become negligible.
The BSP president alleged that an internal conspiracy is underway between the ruling party and the opposition to make people helpless. To avoid this, these classes should become vigilant and cautious from now on, both in the state and across the country. She said that to get rid of this, they should join their only well-wisher in the country, the Ambedkarite party BSP, and bring it to power.
Mayawati appealed to the people for the upcoming elections, saying that electing the BSP is the “need of the hour” in the interest of the country and the people.
