Noida, June 27: A woman filed a complaint at Sector 39 police station in Noida on Friday night, accusing a cab driver of indecent behavior, mental harassment, and threats of rape. Based on the woman’s complaint, the police have registered a case and initiated action.

The Sector 39 police station in-charge, DP Shukla, said on Saturday morning that a woman living in Lotus Boulevard Society in Sector 100 complained that she booked a cab from Noida to Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station on the evening of June 25 through Rapido. The cab driver, identified as Amit Kashyap, arrived to pick her up. After she boarded the car, the driver spoke rudely to her and attempted to change directions. When she protested, he stopped the cab near Garden Galleria Mall and left her on the road.

According to the victim, they booked another cab and reached Nizamuddin Railway Station, but by then they had missed their train. According to the victim, the cab driver called her twice, using abusive language, threatening to rape her, and making obscene remarks. He also threatened to rape her and upload a video online.
